We are celebrating a milestone in Christmas Fest history as we mark 40 years of the event
in Bay Minette. Over the years the event has been around Blackburn Park and on the
courthouse but this year it is again returning to where it all began on the square this Friday
December 2 nd 11:00am – 7:00pm and Saturday, December 3 rd from 8:00am to 7:00pm.
Festival goers can expect to see over 100 arts and crafts vendors along with food vendors,
and a kid’s zone that is sure to keep the little ones busy, live entertainment and
performances that the whole family will enjoy and “We are excited to see so much of what
makes the event special like bringing back the Ping Pong Ball Drop and Tree Lighting along
with the Twilight Christmas Parade” said Manager of Marketing, Design & Projects, Marlee
Bailey.
In conjunction with the 40 th Annual Christmas Fest, stop in for Breakfast with Santa and
special guest, Starla Chapman, from 8am-10:30am at Pearl and Addie’s Café, located at 20
Hand Avenue. Also happening a few blocks over back at Blackburn Park, the 5K Fun Run is
returning hosted by The Heritage Women’s Club and North Baldwin Coalition Excellence in
Education beginning at 8am. Registration is open now, head over to

Also returning is the Bay Minette Library’s annual Bedtime Stories with Santa starting at
6:00pm.
As the event marks 40 years, we are honoring the Jaycee’s that proudly started and served
the festival back in the 80’s for a number of years before giving operations to the North
Baldwin Chamber of Commerce. “We are honoring the group of men and women by making
them Honorary Grand Marshalls of the event,” said Executive Director, Kristina Pittman.
“We also will have a celebration of their hard work available on our Facebook page and
website that will appear on Friday, December 2 nd .
